Dr. Salehi-Müller was nominated for the FEIT fellowship by Prof. Andrea O’Connor which is offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), University of Melbourne. She successfully received this fellowship to progress her research with a team led by Professor Andrea O'Connor from FEIT’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Professor Gordon Lynch at the University's Centre for Muscle Research. The FEIT Visiting Fellowship for Gender Equality at UoM aims to foster collaboration between FEIT's female academics and external researchers through targeted networks. This research visit has provided Dr. Salehi-Müller a possibility to step closer to the research goal –developing skeletal muscle tissues for people suffering from muscle atrophy or who have had significant injuries in an accident that resulted in a loss of muscle volume.
