Lys first publication from her PhD thesis is published! Many Congratulations to Lys for her great and hard work!
We are thrilled about the latest publication of our group at the University of Bayreuth and the first paper of Lys Sprenger from her PhD thesis in the frame of the #SFB/TRR225, the funded consortium on Biofabrication. As a subproject of #B03 in collaboration with subprojects #A08, research group Prof. Leonid Ionov and Pavel Milkin, Subproject #B07 Prof. Georg Papastavrou and Steffen Trippmacher, Ulrich Mansfeld from BPI Keylab, and from Subproject #B03 Hsuan-Heng Lu and Prof. Aldo Boccaccini at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg we showed developing composite bioink based on oxidized alginate (ADA) and gelatin (GEL) including cell-laden ribbon-shaped fillers. This funded project by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation was focused on a composite bioink to enhance the cell alignment and the formation of an anisotropic skeletal muscle structure within 3D hydrogels.
